If ever there was a bike frame to prove that form and function can co-exist, the Kathmandu is it. Extra-smooth welding creates joints between the High Performance Aluminium tubes that are so flawless, one tube flows almost organically into the next – and Internal Cable Routing complements the clean aesthetic. But it's not just about looks. Our sturdy Integrated Carrier 3.0 works seamlessly with the ACID mudguard, which also incorporates a rear light to accompany the included front light and mudguard. The UDH gear hanger is strong and future-proof, whilst the flat mount kickstand means you'll never struggle to find somewhere to park. And we even fitted extra mounting points on the frame, to make it easier to add extra bags, accessories and water bottles. Because you never know what you might need...

It's the detail that makes the Kathmandu SLT from CUBE so special. It's designed to be comfortable, which is why we began by fitting a smooth RockShox Paragon Gold air suspension fork. The sturdy elegance of the Integrated Carrier 3.0 is matched by the straightforward practicality of the ACID mudguards, lighting set and kickstand. Powerful Shimano Cues hydraulic disc brakes work with the smooth-rolling and grippy Schwalbe Marathon Mondial tyres to bring you safely to a halt, whatever the weather. And the icing on the cake is Shimano's Cues Di2 Q'Auto 1x11 gears, which shift automatically as you pedal... so you're always in the right gear. Powered by a simple rear hub dynamo system, there's no need for you to do anything... but ride. Freedom on two wheels...

When you want to bring your little one along for the ride, it's good to know that there's a compatible CUBE child seat that's simple to fit and has all the safety features you'd expect.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

The Integrated Carrier 3.0 is the next level in system integration: from the side, it's hard to tell where the luggage carrier ends and the mudguard begins. But it doesn't just look good, it's also incredibly strong and rigid. With an integrated spring clamp and CUBE Rilink ready adaptor for mounting bags and baskets, it transforms your CUBE into an adaptable and versatile load carrier.

A bicycle is such a versatile tool. That's why many riders add accessories like a luggage carrier, mudguards, kickstand and lights. But with our Fully Equipped range you don't have to, because we've already taken care of all of that. With carefully selected accessories that match and integrate with each bike, you're all set for any journey from the weekday commute to a longer tour.

Our trekking series is designed to take you wherever your curiosity leads you. So, of course, you'll want a comfortable ride. With a natural feeling seated position and handling that's stable and reassuring with or without a load, Trekking Comfort Geometry does exactly what it says no matter how much experience you have of cycling.

Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
