City streets are the natural home of our urban bikes, so we gave them geometry to match. Nimble for weaving safely through traffic, with ideal weight distribution for great grip and safe braking and cornering, Urban Geometry is precisely what you need to help you navigate the mean streets safely... and beat the gridlock.
Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
Adventure sometimes demands different kit. That's where our low rider rack mounts come in. Designed to accept an optional fork rack, they're a great way to carry up to 10kg of additional weight for extended tours. Not only that but carrying some of your luggage over the front wheel helps improve weight distribution and handling. Win, win.
Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.
CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
Easy to fit and even easier to live with, the optional Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.0 is the perfect way to extend the versatility of your CUBE bike. Strong and versatile, it's the ideal way to convert your bike to a tourer, take on the daily commute, or even go shopping with your bike. Have it your way.
