The Reaction 240 TM is made from the same kind of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes that you'll find on our performance adult bikes. We also use the same mechanical tube-forming process to adjust tube shapes for the best combination of strength and weight, as well as tyre clearance. Making the most of all this frame wizardry is a suspension fork, designed specifically to work with a small frame and a light rider. Disc brake mounts and cable routing allow for the greater safety and stopping power of discs. And a replaceable derailleur hanger insures against expensive repairs in the event of minor mishaps

CUBE Trail Motion bikes are all about taking our existing mountain bikes and turning the volume up to 11... because it's fun! The Reaction 240 TM starts with Magura's powerful, progressive MT Thirty brakes – with an oversize 180mm rotor up front – and grippy Schwalbe 2.1in tyres on wheels built with Newmen rims, so your young ripper is always in control. We chose a Suntour Raidon 34 Boost suspension fork too, because it adds an extra shot of comfort and grip, even on rough trails – and it's tuned to match a younger rider's weight. Plus, with wide-ranging Microshift Advent 1x9 gears, your youngster has all the range they need to keep up on family rides.

Aluminium Lite 6061

There's aluminium, and then there's CUBE Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets – and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your CUBE.

Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. With Internal Cable Routing we've reduced clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination – or damage from abrasion – as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.

For off-road riding you need a bike that responds quickly, but also feels stable and secure. That's where Agile Ride Geometry comes in. Offering an ideal blend of on-demand steering precision, climbing agility and descending stability, it's perfect for every rider who values their time on the trail. One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains.
