Form meets function in the elegant shape of the Nuroad Hybrid C:62's carbon frame. Sure, it's a great looker, with a clean profile and organic curves. But we haven't forgotten practicality, like incorporating clearance for tyres up to 50mm even with mudguards fitted. Or carrier mounting points at the rear and on the full carbon fork, for maximum bikepacking versatility. The Bosch drive system's control unit is incorporated into the top tube, with a mini handlebar remote, and the frame is PowerMore-ready for a +250Wh battery booster pack. The seat clamp is hidden, there's a Direct Mount lightweight chain guide, a flat mount kickstand interface, Boost rear end and UDH derailleur hanger. We reckon we've ticked all the boxes. The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX is the gravel bike to open up your riding horizons. With its elegantly sculpted C:62® carbon frame, lightweight Bosch drive system and carefully selected components including electronic Shimano 12-speed gears, it's got adventure written all over it.

There's a lot more to the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX than its light, tough and beautifully sculpted C:62® carbon frame and full carbon fork. For starters, Bosch's lightweight SX drive unit and a 400Wh battery deliver up to 60Nm of torque – and we pre-installed X-Connect, to make it simple to add a compatible ACID front light. Rack mounting points front and rear give you the option of carrying everything you need with you. Shimano's GRX Di2 1x12 gears deliver a huge gear range and exceptional ruggedness with flawless electronic shifting, via a carbon crankset. Powerful Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes keep your speed in check via light, tough Newmen Evolution SL X.R.25 wheels and tenaciously grippy Continental 45mm Terra Adventure bikepacking-specific tyres. And even with optional mudguards fitted, there's room to run tyres up to 50mm. There's only one remaining question: where to next?

Niet al het carbon is gelijk. Bij ons C:62® carbon hebben we ten opzichte van ons HPC-carbon het aandeel hoog-modulus-vezels vergroot en zijn bovendien nanodeeltjes toegevoegd aan de hars. Het resultaat is een extreem licht, sterk en degelijk carboncomposiet.

Zonder kabels en leidingen kun je je derailleur of je remmen niet bedienen. En als je voor een nette kabelloop gaat, dan is een interne kabeldoorvoer het antwoord. Maar dat wil niet zeggen, dat die kabels door de balhoofdbuis het frame in moeten. Wij hebben een oplossing bedacht waarbij de kabels door het balhoofdlager naar binnen gaan. Nog mooier, nog lichter.

De SX-technologie van Bosch omvat naast een nieuwe motor tevens een lichtere en slankere accu. Om de gewichtsbesparing die daarmee gepaard gaat te optimaliseren, hebben we de accu volledig in de onderbuis geïntegreerd. Daarmee is niet alleen de gewichtsverdeling optimaal, maar besparen we óók nog eens gewicht. Immers: de onderbuis en de accu sluiten precies op elkaar aan, zónder zware afdekklep. Behoefte aan meer? Met de additionele 250 Wh accu realiseer je snel en makkelijk meer kilo- en hoogtemeters.

Lange tochten of wedstrijden door onherbergzame landschappen? Dan komt onze Gravel Endurance-geometrie van pas. Met een zitpositie die ook na een lange dag trappen nog comfortabel is. En met een uitgebalanceerde mix van wendbaarheid en stabiliteit, zodat je enerzijds snel kunt reageren en anderzijds altijd controle houdt.

Bij ons Advanced Twin Mold-proces, dat toegepast wordt bij onze C:62®, C:68® en C:68X® carbon frames, gebruiken we twee uiterst zorgvuldig vervaardigde mallen. De eerste wordt gebruikt om verzekerd te zijn van precies de juiste laagopbouw, de tweede houdt tijdens het uitharden iedere vezel op precies de gewenste plaats. Het resultaat is een frame dat significant lichter en sterker is, met de juiste vezels op de juiste plaats.
