There are a couple of things that you'll notice about the Nuroad ONE's frame. For starters, it's easy on the eye. We've taken our High Performance Aluminium and crafted it into an elegant structure with Smooth Welding and carefully chosen tube profiles. The integrated seat clamp and Semi-Internal Cable Routing complement the clean aesthetic, and we finished off with a lightweight aluminium fork. But it's not just great to look at. There's clearance for 50mm tyres – 45mm with mudguards fitted – and extra mounting points on the top tube for optional accessories like a frame bag or multi-tool, as well as all the usual attachment points for carrier and mudguards. Put it all together, and it's the perfect combination of form and function – with sizes from XXS to XL.

Rough roads? No problem. The versatile Nuroad ONE's aluminium fork is lightweight and features lowrider mounts for a luggage carrier. Powerful Shimano Cues disc brakes give you the stopping power and safety that you need, in any weather, whilst matching and wide-ranging Shimano Cues 1x9 gears put the right ratio for any journey at your fingertips. Tough, fast-rolling and comfortable 45mm Schwalbe G-One Comp tyres grip tenaciously. Everyone deserves a bike that fits properly, so for our gravel bikes we built the smaller frame sizes around 27.5in wheels. That way, reach and standover height are optimised and even shorter riders can find the perfect setup.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important – because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...

A gravel bike is a supremely versatile beast, which is why all our gravel models have a fender and rack option. With generous frame clearances to fit comfortable, safe and grippy tyres even with full length mudguards, we also neatly integrated the rear rack into the mudguard design – and included a rear light, too.

Combining everything we know about building great-riding off-road bikes, Gravel Comfort Geometry is the secret ingredient that makes our gravel series such a blast to ride. Nimble enough to mix it up in the rough, stable enough for reassuring descents and with comfort for the long haul, we've got it all covered.

Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
