The Reaction Hybrid SLX FE's full equipment package – including full-length mudguards, carrier, kickstand and integrated lighting system – means it's up for any challenge from a long weekend tour to the daily commute. With its 800Wh battery and Bosch's powerful CX motor combined with Shimano's wide-ranging XT 1x12 gears, it's got the power to make light work of any route. Fox's 34 Float AWL fork smooths even the roughest of roads and paths, and we fitted powerful Shimano XT 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes to ensure you can slow and stop safely, whatever the weather. Newmen's Performance 30 wheelset is tough and light and, shod with 2.6in Schwalbe tyres, is up to pretty much any challenge. And with a remote dropper seatpost thrown in, you're all set for wherever you choose to go next.

The Fully Integrated Battery system tucks the power of Bosch's battery out of sight, safely inside the confines of your bike's downtube. Hidden beneath a splash and dust-proof cover and secured with a lock to prevent theft, it allows us to design beautiful e-bike frames that are as brilliantly functional as they are good to look at.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

In many ways the battery is the heart of an e-bike. That's why, with our Modular Battery System, we've made a setup that's easy to use. You can charge the battery on or off the bike, and we've made room for even high capacity batteries. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.

X-Connect is the simple way to attach a compatible ACID light to your CUBE bike. With a connector built into the headset and the wiring hidden in the frame, all that's left to do is attach the light, plug it in... and off you go. See and be seen, the easy way.
