Podium Finishes and Top-10 Results for CUBE Factory Racing and Heizomat CUBE Team
It was a successful race weekend for the CUBE teams. While the CUBE Factory Racing XC Team lined up in Soldier Hollow, Utah, for the penultimate World Cup of the season, the Heizomat CUBE Team kicked off the new cyclo-cross season in Bad Salzdetfurth.
CUBE Factory Racing: Nikolaj Hougs Takes P2 in Soldier Hollow
At the eighth round of the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, Nikolaj Hougs, Maruša Tereza Šerkezi and Kira Böhm lined up for both the Short Track and Olympic Cross-Country races.
In Saturday’s Short Track, Nikolaj Hougs sprinted to second place, securing his first XCC World Cup podium of the 2026 season. Maruša Tereza Šerkezi finished 15th, while Kira Böhm crossed the line in 19th.
In Sunday’s XCO race, Šerkezi finished ninth, securing another Top-10 result in her first World Cup season. Nikolaj finished the race in 13th, with Kira taking 20th.
The team will now head to Lake Placid, New York, in two weeks’ time for the season finale and the final World Cup of the year.
Heizomat CUBE Team: Podium Start to the Cyclo-Cross Season in Bad Salzdetfurth
The Heizomat CUBE Team opened the new cyclo-cross season in Bad Salzdetfurth.
In the Elite Men’s race on Saturday, Danny van Lierop got the weekend off to a strong start with second place. Hannes Degenkolb finished fourth, while Lukas Herrmann took ninth. In the U19 category, Isis Versluis secured the win.
On Sunday, van Lierop returned to the podium with third place. Degenkolb finished fifth, with Herrmann taking 12th. Isis Versluis also repeated her success from Saturday, claiming another U19 victory.
With these results, the Heizomat CUBE Team heads into the new cyclo-cross season with plenty of momentum.
