As part of our permanent quality monitoring, we have identified an issue with the aluminium threaded pedal insert on 2026 ACID Carbon Hybrid Crank Arms suddenly detaching from the crank body. We are therefore informing you about a Product Safety Recall affecting certain bike models.
The recall affects CUBE e-bike models from the 2026 model year fitted with 2026 ACID Carbon Hybrid Crank Arms and sold prior to 8 May 2026.
To ensure user safety, the ACID Carbon Hybrid Crank Arms on all affected bikes need to be replaced. You will find further information below on the models affected and the procedure to follow for replacement. We would like to thank you for your understanding and apologise for the inconvenience caused.

- All crank lengths: 160mm, 165mm, 170mm, 175mm
CURRENT INFORMATION
The product defect described here can result in the bond failing and increases the risk of accident, which can cause material damage and serious injuries.
For user safety, all crank arms affected by this issue must be replaced.

Processing and replacement
Your CUBE dealer will look after all aspects of checking and replacement in-store.
Affected crank arms will be replaced with the latest generation of aluminium (HPA) crank arms. The right crank arm comes with an integrated pin for easy chain care. As compensation for the permanent switch to aluminium cranks, we would like to offer you our premium lighting system.
You can choose from the following options in-store with your dealer:- Option 1: Replacement with aluminium cranks with an integrated pin (permanent solution) + ACID E-Bike Front Light PRO-E 200 HB X-Connect (#93967) with a value of €149.95
- Option 2: Replacement with aluminium cranks with an integrated pin (temporary solution) + later replacement with new carbon cranks (estimated delivery in around 12 months)

The frame number is located on the bottom bracket. Depending on your frame type, you will also find it on a silver sticker in one of these locations:
- on the left chainstay
- on the underside of the top tube or down tube
- The frame number comprises the prefix “WOW” followed by five numbers and four letters. Please only enter the numbers and letters in the tool without the “WOW” prefix.
