The Reaction 240 is made from the same kind of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes that you'll find on our performance adult bikes. We also use the same mechanical tube-forming process to adjust tube shapes for the best combination of strength and weight, as well as tyre clearance. There's a full carbon fork with thru axle, to save even more weight. Disc brake mounts and cable routing allow for the greater safety and stopping power of discs. And a replaceable derailleur hanger insures against expensive repairs in the event of minor mishaps

Aluminium Lite 6061

There's aluminium, and then there's CUBE Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets – and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your CUBE.

Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. With Internal Cable Routing we've reduced clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination – or damage from abrasion – as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.
