CROSS-COUNTRY
PERFECTION 2.0

We know a thing or two about making fast cross-country race frames, but the Phenix C:68X moves the bar even higher. How? For starters, we used our premium C:68X® carbon for the ultimate in low weight, high strength and ride comfort. We redesigned the seat tube junction to incorporate an integrated seat clamp. It's a small touch, but – along with Internal Cable Routing – it complements the frame's clean aesthetic and elegant, organic lines. And there's an adjustable angle headset, so you can tweak your bike's handling to suit your own taste.

Highlights
Zero-compromise performance on race day demands zero-compromise design. The Phenix C:68X SLT's premium carbon construction gives it the pace and ride comfort you need to ride at your best, whilst wish-list components leave nothing on the table in your quest for speed.

Power and control – they're the twin keys to unlocking speed. The Phenix C:68X SLT's lightweight and comfortable one-piece bar/stem combo is a good start, putting everything you need at your fingertips. Sram's XX SL Eagle Transmission groupset serves up fast, ultra-precise electronic shifts over a huge gear range – and the XX SL Eagle crank is power meter-equipped so you can keep an eye on your performance. Fast-rolling Schwalbe Racing Ray and Racing Ralph 2.35in tyres wrapped around light, stiff and strong Newmen Phase 30 wheels deliver your power to the trail, whilst a Fox Float 32 Factory SC fork with remote keeps everything planted and pointing in the right direction. And, to make sure you can maintain speed into every corner, we fitted Magura's powerful MT8 SL brakes with a 180mm rotor up front.

C:68X® Monocoque Advanced Twin Mold Technology, Boost 12x148mm, Full Internal Cable Routing, Dropper Post ready, UDH™

Combining all our expertise from carbon frame building into the ultimate material, C:68X® carbon uses the optimum blend of fibre and nano particle-infused resin. Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means we can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It's the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.
When you're harnessing gravity, the trail is challenging and every second counts, the geometry of your CUBE is a critical component. That's why our adjustable headset allows you to tweak head angle, so you can set your bike up just the way you like it. A little slacker for more stability, or a little steeper for better agility. The choice is yours...
A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.
Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. With Internal Cable Routing we've reduced clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination – or damage from abrasion – as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.
For off-road riding you need a bike that responds quickly, but also feels stable and secure. That's where Agile Ride Geometry comes in. Offering an ideal blend of on-demand steering precision, climbing agility and descending stability, it's perfect for every rider who values their time on the trail. If you're a mountain biker, you'll instantly feel at home...
A dropper post is a great accessory for adventurous riding, adding confidence and control on steep descents. Our Dropper Post Ready bikes are all set for this worthwhile upgrade, because they include internal cable routing for the remote lever that controls the seatpost. Once installed, you'll forget it's there... until you need it.
With our Advanced Twin Mold process we use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
