In racing, every watt saved counts. So we went back to the drawing board with the Litening AERO C:68X frameset, and this is the result: a C:68X® frame and fork combination that's 150g lighter and up to 6 watts faster than anything we've built before. With the IC Aero Max Cockpit there's an additional 1 watt saving, too. Those are differences you can see in your results. It's all done by combining pro peloton experience and feedback with wind tunnel testing and Computer Fluid Dynamics, backed up by stress-testing in our own in-house test lab. We celebrated by giving it a stunning genesisfibre'n'black paint finish whose green hues shift as the light plays over it, combined with a multi-colour fibrous texture for extra impact. LITENING AERO C:68X

Building a race bike that's as aero as possible within UCI rules is exactly the kind of thing that we relish at CUBE. And here's the result: the Litening AERO C:68X frameset. Crafted with our premium C:68X® carbon material and designed with extensive use of Computer Fluid Dynamics and real-world wind tunnel testing, it's now lighter and faster than ever. The frameset package includes a Newmen Streem Allround 49/54 wheelset, CUBE IC Aero Max Cockpit and redesigned aero seatpost. With clearance for up to 34mm tyres, a future-proof UDH rear end and full compatibility with all CUBE one-piece cockpits, it's got everything you need to race, faster.

Precision Advanced Twin Mold manufacturing means we can avoid bonded sleeves or inserts, too. It's the new benchmark for light, stiff and strong.

Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important – because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...

Full Internal Cable Routing takes the clutter of external cables and consigns it to the past. We started from scratch, designing frame and handlebars to accept gear and brake cables internally so that nothing interrupts the bike's clean lines. It's neater, it's more aero, it protects cables from damage and it reduces maintenance. All the wins.

We know that you want to keep track of your performance stats. It's important, which is why we designed a neat, unobtrusive mount for your bike computer. Now you can record and access data wherever you ride, safe in the knowledge that your device is securely mounted and out of harm's way.

One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it's a standard part that is available anywhere.

With our Advanced Twin Mold process we use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62®, C:68® and C:68X® carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
