Youngsters may be small, but we know they're capable of giving their bikes a really hard time. That's why we've given the Numove 180's frame and fork as much attention as we do our adult frames. The light, strong 6061 aluminium that we use is built into a structure that's easy to ride, but tough enough to withstand plenty of young enthusiasm and energy – and the odd mishap, too. It's every inch a real bike just like the ones we make for grown-ups, but stripped down to the bare essentials.

At CUBE we think kids deserve bikes that are just as good as the grown-ups'. That's why the Numove 180 features proper V-brakes with child-friendly levers, and a frame that's built with the same attention to detail as we lavish on the bikes we make for adults. It's ready to go almost anywhere, just as soon as they're ready...

Taking our inspiration from our range of adult bikes, we created a rugged, lightweight all-terrain bike in miniature. Its front and rear V-brakes – operated by levers designed specifically to suit small hands – are easy to use and have just the right amount of power for slowing and stopping safely. A chain guard keeps the chain safely hidden, and the Schwalbe tyres are just like the ones fitted to mum or dad's bike. The handling is designed to be both fun and safe, and you can rest assured that, like all our bikes, this one has passed our in-house safety tests with flying colours.

Aluminium Lite 6061

Net ieder iedere aluminium buis is gelijk. Het Aluminium Lite dat wij voor onze frames gebruiken is hittebehandeld 6061 aluminium. Dat is niet alleen zeer stijf is, maar ook minder gevoelig voor metaalmoeheid. Daarbij is het ook nog bestand tegen corrosie. Dat alles maakt het een ideaal metaal voor het maken van lichtgewicht fietsframes.

Een kinderfiets is natuurlijk veel meer dan een grote-mensen-fiets in een kleiner maatje. Onze Kids Ergonomic Optimized-geometrie is, de naam zegt het al, speciaal afgestemd op kleine rijders. Uiteraard komen de afmetingen overeen met de proporties van de jonge fietsers. En qua rijeigenschappen ligt de nadruk op veiligheid en het kweken van zelfvertrouwen.
