Successful racing weekend across Europe


From dusty trails in Portugal to the Tour de France finale on the Champs-Élysées – our athletes delivered outstanding performances at various events across Europe, claiming numerous podium finishes. Here are the highlights: 

MTB European Championship in Melgaco 
Hot temperatures, dry trails, and a technically demanding course provided the perfect setting for thrilling races. 
Marusa Tereza Serkezi from the Next Generation XC Team fought her way to the European Champion title in the Junior Women’s Short Track! On Saturday, she followed up with another strong performance in the Cross-Country race, securing a silver medal after an exciting duel. The junior men also showcased top performances: Daan Bakelaar (8th), Fynn Lanter (9th), and Cas Timmermans (10th) all finished within the top 10. 
In the U23 category, Switzerland’s Finn Treudler demonstrated great fighting spirit. Battling in a leading group until the final corner, he narrowly missed the title but was rewarded with the bronze medal after an intense finish. Nikolaj Hougs made a strong comeback after a long break, finishing 18th. Kira Böhm impressed with 6th place in the Short Track and 13th in the Cross-Country. 

Slovak Enduro Championship 
Simona Kuchynkova confidently defended her title and is once again the Slovak Enduro Champion! Another year in the champion’s jersey and looking ahead: the final round of the Enduro World Cup is just around the corner, where she currently ranks 2nd in the world standings. 

Swiss Enduro Series 
Strong performance by Gusti Wildhaber: at the opening race of the Swiss Enduro Series, he secured 3rd place. 

Tour de France 
The Tour de France concluded yesterday with its traditional finish on the Champs-Élysées. Seven riders from Team Intermarché-Wanty reached the finish line in Paris, successfully completing the race.
