GUIDE PARTIAL FORK REMOVAL - CUBE AGREE C:62

Please first enter the frame (WOW) number to see if the bike is affected by the recall. If the bike with this frame number is not affected, NO fork replacement is necessary.

Note: The serial number on the affected carbon forks is located on the steerer tube and can only be accessed by removing the headset. This work should only be done by a bike professional – please contact an authorised CUBE dealer to have your fork checked.

Steps

  1. 1. Remove the front wheel, unscrew the brake caliper from the fork, then remove the stem (or one-piece handlebar/stem as applicable) and spacers.

  1. 2. Next, partially slide the fork downwards out of the head tube until the serial number sticker is visible. You will need to create slack on the brake hose by carefully pushing the brake calliper up to the hose guide on the fork.

  1. 3. Next, enter the fork's serial number into the checking tool.

  1. 4. Follow the above steps in reverse to reinstall the fork. This work must be carried out by bike professionals!
  1. 5. If a replacement fork is required, you will need to disconnect the brake hose. To help keep work to a minimum, we recommend you disconnect the brake hose on the brake calliper. Shorten it by no more than the length of the pin – in most cases this will avoid the need to install a new hose.
