The Reaction frame's elegantly sculpted lines and super-clean tube joints are part of its appeal, sure. But there's solid practicality there, too. For example, the Internal Cable Routing – which complements the tidy aesthetic – includes cable protection inside the head tube. The 30.9mm-diameter seat tube is ready to accept a remote dropper post. Mounting points at the rear are compatible with our Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.1 and ACID mudguards. A UDH and Boost thru-axle rear end with extra-large chainstay protector is built to be both tough and future-proof. REACTION

The Reaction Pro is all about the ideal blend of function, versatility and performance. That's why we began with the precision of Shimano's XT 1x12 gears, because they offer an enormous range and an unparalleled reputation for accuracy. We added Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for their reliable all-weather stopping performance to help keep you safe, whether you're out in the hills or battling across town. And we finished with the RockShox Recon Silver 32 air fork, because it combines easy adjustability and a remote lockout with trail-smoothing alacrity. It's the complete package.

There are times when you need to carry essentials with you, like a trail tool or a spare tube. Top tube fixing points make it simple to attach a compatible ACID tool or bag securely.

There's aluminium, and then there's CUBE Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets – and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your CUBE.

The right bike should fit you perfectly. That's why we created Size Split. For shorter riders, the smaller 27.5in wheel standard allows us to build frames that fit well while remaining agile and sure-footed. And, for taller riders, we built a range of sizes around the fast-rolling 29er wheel standard. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure of a fit that makes your bike feel as though it was built just for you.

A kickstand can be useful, no two ways about it. But if it's going to do its job properly, it needs a secure mount. That's why we put as much effort into designing the Kickstand Mount for our frames as we do for any other feature. Neat, unobtrusive but exceptionally strong and stable, it's the best way to help keep your CUBE bike upright when you're not riding it.

Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. With Internal Cable Routing we've reduced clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination – or damage from abrasion – as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.

One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it's a standard part that is available anywhere.

Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.

Easy to fit and even easier to live with, the optional Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.0 is the perfect way to extend the versatility of your CUBE bike.
