A weekend filled with victories

Five races, five disciplines, five successes! This past weekend our athletes once again proved they are in best form – ready to shine on any terrain, whether on the trails, the triathlon course, or the road.

MTB

Downhill – Rosa Zierl rules the women’s race
The World Cup stop in Lenzerheide turned into a standout weekend for the CUBE Factory Racing Team. Once again, Rosa Zierl underlined her exceptional talent: after qualifying second, the 16-year-old delivered a near-flawless final run to claim her fourth World Cup victory – setting the fastest women’s time of the day, including the Elite riders. Kasper Hickman looked strong after a promising qualifying run but was unlucky to crash out in the finals, while Max Hartenstern dug deep to finish 14th in the Elite ranks.

Cross Country – Finn dominates Lenzerheide
Equally impressive was the performance of Finn Treudler. Fresh from his U23 World Champion title, he made the most of racing on home soil by storming to a double win in both the Short Track and the Olympic distance Cross-Country. There were strong rides across the team too: Nikolaj Hougs impressed with 8th in the U23 XCO, Ella Maclean-Howell climbed to 5th, while Kira Böhm (28th Elite Women) and Ondrej Cink (20th Elite Men) secured valuable points.

TRIATHLON
At the T100 in Spain, Lucy Charles-Barclay was in a class of her own. From the very start she took control, leading out of the water, setting the pace on the bike, and unleashing her trademark strength on the run. After 3:29 hours she broke the tape to take her second T100 victory of the season. A powerful statement just weeks before the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.

ROAD
There was even more to celebrate on the road. At the prestigious Gooikse Pijl, Gerben Thijssen sprinted to third place after 196 rain-soaked kilometres, securing Intermarché-Wanty’s 20th podium of the season. For the Belgian sprinter it marked his fourth podium in this classic, following his victory in 2022 and two previous second places.
