To create the Nuroad FE we took inspiration from our race and cyclocross bikes, then threw a little mountain bike DNA into the mix. There's plenty of clearance for big, grippy and comfortable 45mm tyres, even with the included full-length mudguards. There's our Semi-Integrated Carrier 2.1, and we added a kickstand and a full lighting system. Neat Internal Cable Routing keeps cables out of the way, while thru-axle wheels add extra steering precision for safety and confidence, even on the roughest of roads. The full carbon fork isn't just lightweight – it also helps reduce vibration from the road and features lowrider rack mounts. And with sizes ranging from XS to XXL, it's simple to find the perfect fit.

Yes, the Nuroad Race FE is elegant. You can't escape the organic flow of its Smooth Welded frame, or the clean lines that are partly thanks to Advanced Internal Cable Routing. But that's only half the story, because the rest is pure practicality. For starters, it's fully equipped with mudguards, SIC 2.1 rear carrier, lights and kickstand. If you need extra carrying capacity, the full carbon fork has lowrider mounts to add an optional carrier. The rugged Schwalbe 45mm G-One Overland Performance tyres are built for the job, of course, and there's more than ample frame clearance. Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes have the power to keep you safe, whatever the weather. And reliable Shimano GRX 2x12 gears ensure the right ratio is always at your fingertips.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame – but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important – because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...

Combining everything we know about building great-riding off-road bikes, Gravel Comfort Geometry is the secret ingredient that makes our gravel series such a blast to ride. Nimble enough to mix it up in the rough, stable enough for reassuring descents and with comfort for the long haul, we've got it all covered.

One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it's a standard part that is available anywhere.

Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities – high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength – that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.
