Tour de France stage 20: Nine riders satisfied to Champs-Elysées

In the 20th stage of Tour de France, a 22.5km time trial in and around Marseillen, the general classification was decided.

Maciej Bodnar was the winner of the day, while Chris Froome was able to keep his yellow jersey. Guillaume Martin (107th) stays in 23rd position, and also Thomas Degand (70th) and Marco Minnaard (118th) keep their 34th and 40th position. The 9 debutants of Wanty-Groupe Gobert head complete to Champs-Elysées.

Guillaume Martin:

"It was great to get started in a stadium like the Orange Velodrome. I did not have big expectations for the time trial, so my time is not much worth. I have fulfilled my task."

"I'm somewhat disappointed with my final position. Top 20 or 23rd is not the same. I've given everything I could. With somewhat better conditions I could have reached a top 20 but it could also have been less good. I'm happy with my performance. This promises for the future. I especially remember my 3rd place at Station des Rousses, which was a moment to cherish in one of the first mountain stages."
