Double gold for CUBE Actionteam riders Sofia Wiedenroth and Gusti Wildhaber in Latsch

Gusti Wildhaber and Sofia Wiedenroth finish top of the podium for the CUBE Actionteam at the TrailTrophy 3-day race in South Tyrol.

The international TrailTrophy series visited Latsch in Italy from 24–26 May, bringing several tough stages and an atmospheric night ride for competitors to tackle. Swissman Gusti Wildhaber and German rider Sofia Wiedenroth both put in super strong performances to take the overall wins in the men's and women's categories respectively.

Consistency was the name of the game for Gusti: "You have to pace yourself because anything can happen in a multi-day race. I rode fast but not over my limits. A minor technical meant I lost some time on Friday evening but I managed to pull it back on the last day of racing. I'm super happy to take the win in such a strong field!"

By contrast, 23-year-old Sophia's focus was on the training benefits. "The TrailTrophy in Latsch is perfect for racing between the tough stops of the Enduro World Series and great for extra training. Taking the win here in Latsch is a huge motivation and gives me confidence for the rest of the long season with the team."

Next up for the CUBE Action Team squad is the Paganella stop of the Alpine Enduro Series in Molveno, Italy from 7–9 June.
