The CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid C:62's Easy Entry frame isn't just straightforward to ride and elegant in its simplicity – it's also extremely sophisticated and adaptable. Built from our proven C:62® carbon for the best blend of strength and low weight, we incorporated the Bosch 400Wh battery inside the frame structure for clean looks and the best dust and splash protection. Advanced Internal Cable Routing complements the frame's organic appearance and the neat, versatile IC 3.0 rear carrier provides a sturdy, adaptable platform for all your carrying needs. Precise, nimble steering is handled by the full carbon fork, and we used Boost axles front and rear to ensure stable handling even when fully loaded. We like to think we've thought of everything...

The Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 SLX takes everything we learnt from developing our popular Kathmandu Hybrid grand tourer and distils it into a lighter version with all the strength and adaptability of the original. A C:62® carbon frame and fork with lightweight Bosch SX power is just the beginning...

With its C:62® carbon frame and rigid carbon fork, the Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 SLX has the same rugged appeal as its illustrious forbears, but with a focus on lower weight. The smooth Bosch SX motor and 400Wh battery continue the svelte theme, delivering up to 60Nm of torque via Shimano's wide-ranging XT 1x12 gears and rugged Newmen Beskar 30 wheels shod with grippy Schwalbe G-One Overland Evo 50mm tyres. There is, of course, a full complement of practical accessories so you're ready for anything, whether it's a trip across town or overland. And, with powerful Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes, you can slow and stop safely in all weather conditions. It may be light, but it's no lightweight.

Niet al het carbon is gelijk. Bij ons C:62® carbon hebben we ten opzichte van ons HPC-carbon het aandeel hoog-modulus-vezels vergroot en zijn bovendien nanodeeltjes toegevoegd aan de hars. Het resultaat is een extreem licht, sterk en degelijk carboncomposiet.

Hoeveel doet het materiaal ertoe? In ieder geval heel erg veel als het gaat om de voorvork. Niet alleen is onze carbon voorvork buitengewoon licht en sterk, hij is daarnaast ook verrassend comfortabel. En als je door het hectische stadsverkeer aan het slingeren bent, is dát een eigenschap die je zeker op prijs zult stellen.

Zonder kabels en leidingen kun je je derailleur of je remmen niet bedienen. En als je voor een nette kabelloop gaat, dan is een interne kabeldoorvoer het antwoord. Maar dat wil niet zeggen, dat die kabels door de balhoofdbuis het frame in moeten. Wij hebben een oplossing bedacht waarbij de kabels door het balhoofdlager naar binnen gaan. Nog mooier, nog lichter.

De SX-technologie van Bosch omvat naast een nieuwe motor tevens een lichtere en slankere accu. Om de gewichtsbesparing die daarmee gepaard gaat te optimaliseren, hebben we de accu volledig in de onderbuis geïntegreerd. Daarmee is niet alleen de gewichtsverdeling optimaal, maar besparen we óók nog eens gewicht. Immers: de onderbuis en de accu sluiten precies op elkaar aan, zónder zware afdekklep. Behoefte aan meer? Met de additionele 250 Wh accu realiseer je snel en makkelijk meer kilo- en hoogtemeters.

Als het gaat om systeemintegratie is onze Integrated Carrier 3.0 is het nieuwste hoogtepunt. Het is namelijk niet te zien waar de bagagedrager begint en waar het spatbord eindigt. Deze constructie ziet er niet alleen superstrak uit, maar is ook nog eens zeer sterk en stijf. De drager is uitgerust met een geïntegreerde klemveer en een CUBE RILink-adapter voor het monteren van manden en tassen.

Op zoek naar comfort zonder in te boeten op sportieve prestaties? Onze Efficient Comfort-geometrie biedt precies dat. In de stad of op het platteland, alleen of met gezin of vrienden, in het weekend of naar het werk, als je er eenmaal van geproefd hebt wil je niet meer zonder.
