Built from the same heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes as our adult bikes, the Acid 240 FE's frame is every bit as tough as a full-size mountain bike, but with the right weight and proportions for a child. A full range of accessories – including mudguards, lighting system and kickstand – means it's fully equipped for any adventure. The handling is designed to be both fun and confidence-inspiring. And, because we know accidents can happen, we made the gear hanger easily replaceable so that a knock or crash needn't result in an expensive repair.

With its rechargeable lights, clip-on mudguards and included kickstand it's got everything they're likely to need. That's why we kitted the Acid 240 FE out with a full range of accessories, including mudguards, lighting system and kickstand – because you never know where their curiosity will take them next. There's also a Suntour suspension fork for improved comfort and control, and powerful V-brakes with levers designed for small hands. The 7-speed gears are easy to use, and the replaceable derailleur hanger means the occasional knock needn't mean a costly repair. It's all ready for adventure...

Aluminium Lite 6061

There's aluminium, and then there's CUBE Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets – and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your CUBE.
