Lorsqu'en 2013, nous avions été le premier fabricant à présenter un VTT 29 pouces carbone à fort débattement, le CUBE Stereo 140 Super HPC carbone avait déjà mis la barre très haut. Avec le nouveau Stereo 140 C:68 SLT 29, nous la mettons encore plus haut. Ce cadre tout carbone équipé des meilleurs équipements de dernière génération, et notamment du groupe SRAM X01 Eagle 1x12, est une porte sur l'avenir. Au-delà de cela, c'est aussi le vélo idéal pour les vététistes perfectionnistes, pour les accros du single-track et pour les mordus de randonné sportive de tous bords.

Cadre

Cadre : Nos ingénieurs ne recherchent pas le changement pour le changement, ils recherchent juste la perfection. C'est ce que propose ce cadre tout carbone, fabriqué en faisant appel à notre technique Advanced Twin Mould Monocoque, avec un extraordinaire taux de 68 % de fibre, et à notre concept de suspension dynamique Efficient Trail Control (ETC). Il est tout simplement impossible d'obtenir une meilleure combinaison efficacité / durabilité / légèreté. Afin de répondre aux exigences de la nouvelle génération des adeptes du all-mountain et de l'enduro, nous avons prévu plus de dégagement à l'entrejambe et un tube horizontal rallongé sur notre gamme de Stereo 140 29 pouces. Les larges moyeux Boost accroît également la rigidité du cadre et des roues, de sorte que le Stereo C:68 conserve ses qualités de vivacité et précision de pilotage dans les parties les plus techniques. étant donné que le Stereo C:68 bénéficie déjà de détails tels que visserie aluminium 7075 haute résistance, passages de câbles internes et dérailleur avant Direct Mount, il est difficile de voir comment nous pourrions encore améliorer ce vélo.

Caractéristiques : Le sigle SLT n'est pas attribué à la légère chez CUBE, il correspond au top du top. Nous avons bien sûr commencé par l'étonnante transmission SRAM X01 Eagle 1x12. Simple, légère et dotée d'une étagement de pignons incroyablement large, son look et son fonctionnement sobres constituent le complément idéal du Stereo 140 C:68 SLT 29. Le poste de pilotage carbone Syntace fonctionne en harmonie avec la fourche Fox 34 Float Factory et le moyeu Boost 110, pour procurer une précision de pilotage chirurgicale et une capacité d'absorption des bosses progressive et confortable. L'amortisseur arrière, le Fox Float DPS Factory EVOL, offre une incroyable réactivité sur les moindres aspérités du terrain et une capacité incomparable à se jouer des plus grosses bosses. Les freins SRAM Level Ultimate délivre toute la puissance de freinage dont vous pouvez avoir besoin grâce aux grands disques de 180 mm ; les roues CSW AM 3,9, légères, rigides et solides sont chaussées des pneus Nobby Nic. Fox Float DPS Factory Amortisseur

Avec ses trois positions réglables à la volée, l’amortisseur FOX Float DPS Factory s’adapte idéalement à tous les terrains. Amortissement maximal dans les descentes accidentées ou blocage pour les ascensions raides. La chambre pneumatique EVOL supplémentaire améliore un comportement et une sensibilité de très haut niveau tout en maintenant le châssis sur le haut du débattement. Le revêtement Kashima réduit la friction au minimum.

Sram level Ultimate Disc Freins

Comme son nom l’indique, le Sram Level Ultimate est le frein haut de gamme pour la pratique Cross-Country et Trail.

Fox 34 Float Factory FIT4 Suspension Fourche

Augmenter le diamètre des tubes d’une fourche augmente sa rigidité et ainsi la précision de pilotage. La Fox 34 Float Factory FIT4 présente un revêtement Kashima et des tubes de 34mm.

Notre série Efficient Trail Control fait en sorte que chaque vététiste pratiquant la randonnée sportive puisse prendre encore plus de plaisir. En proposant, au choix, des roues de 27,5 ou de 29 pouces, et en offrant différentes possibilités de réglages du débattement de la suspension, nos cadres permettent de couvrir une large gamme de pratiques du VTT sur tous les terrains imaginables. Très efficace dans les montées, mais disposant de suffisamment de débattement utile en toute circonstance, la suspension évite que le vélo ne rebondisse tout en en contribuant à le rendre très réactif et maniable. Progressive même sur les terrains extrêmes, elle est capable d'utiliser la totalité de son débattement et dispose encore de beaucoup de réserve pour les descentes.

        We optimized our new dropout design based on the Syntace X12 through-axle system, enlarging the area of the frame where the hanger is mounted. We can now fit the longer Direct Mount hangers. Shifting precision and stiffness is therefore improved. With the new design it's also possible to swap the whole contact area of the axle with the hanger should the system be worn out.

        The Agile Trail Geometry carries over the Agile Ride Geometry’s benefits but with more focus on aggressive trail use. This can be achieved through a more compact frame construction with an even lower top tube and improved standover height. The result is more freedom of movement on the bike for the rider and a lower centre of gravity which guarantees agile handling and more riding fun.

        Boost 148mm technology provides precise handling, on every trail, in every situation. The hub flange moves 3mm towards the outside on both sides. It increases the stiffness of a 27.5? wheel by 14% and, for a 29er wheel, by 21%. The reason is the spoke’s wider support in comparison to the 142mm hubs used previously.

        CUBE’s highly innovative new C:68 carbon fibre technology allows us to build better bikes than ever. Typically,
        carbon fibre frames are around 60% carbon fibre, with the rest being the resin that bonds the fibres together. By distributing carbon fibres evenly, we can make thinner layers within the frame and reduce the amount of resin. Those fibres are a mixture of Ultra High Modulus, High Modulus Spread Tow and Intermediate Modulus carbon, each chosen for the needs of the particular area of the frame. Nanoparticles within the resin itself allows it to be distributed more evenly when under pressure in the frame mould. The result is a range of frames with 68% carbon fibre – lower weight, higher stiffness, more fun.

        Our Efficient Trail Control series works so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. With 27.5 and 29er wheel options our frames cover the widest range of riding on every terrain you can imagine. The low leverage ratio and linear rate curve makes the bike very sensitive, avoids bobbing and offers full usable travel all the time. Steep seat tube angles and slack head tube angles make these dream machines ready for action on the descent where you can use the full amount of travel to be on the safe side.

        Sophisticated suspension kinematics are only able to work correctly if the associated shock is properly tuned. We researched and found a specific shock setup in cooperation with Fox Racing Shox, using extensive testing for almost every CUBE full-suspension model.

        The key requirement is for continuously active and fully usable travel, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. There are a number of ways of achieving this – CUBE favours a four bar design with a chainstay pivot. Here, one of the pivots is located between the dropout and the chainstay, ensuring that braking does not have a negative effect on the movement of the rear wheel. By carefully positioning the remaining pivots, we obtain the finest riding qualities for our full suspension bikes both uphill and downhill. This fact is proven by many top test results in leading magazines over the last few years.

        Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

        The post mount rear brake system is found on all carbon fiber frames and top aluminum full suspension models. Two bolts and the IS adpater aren’t needed anymore, and fewer parts means less weight. In this case we save 30 grams. This may not sound a lot. But there's potential to save weight in every detail.

        With Press Fit bearings, the bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into the frame and not screwed in as usual. This gives a wider bottom bracket shell and allows us to build a wider down tube and more broadly-spaced chainstays. Every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement in lateral stiffness.

        Dropper seat posts are getting more and more widespread, but to integrate them optimally in the frame, they have to be factory fitted. With the Stealth Ready frames, it is possible to build in a dropper seat post with internally routed cables, which besides the clean look, helps prevent any cables getting jammed. The exit of the cable on the frame – if not required – will be sealed with a cover for protection.

        This steerer tube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube. On all of our CUBE carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved and the energy transfer is very direct.

        In this system, a cone is used to form a play-free connection. It is only necessary to tighten the axle from one side. The position of the wheel is done by an insert in the right-hand dropout which is secured by a bolt. The main advantages of the Syntace system are quick and simple changing of the wheel, reliable position of the brake disc and higher stiffness of the rear of the bike. This allows the assembly to be made lighter than a conventional through-axle.
