He aquí una propuesta algo diferente: una bicicleta eléctrica de Bosch para media distancia que se centra en el rendimiento y la capacidad para superar cualquier recorrido. Nuestra Stereo Hybrid 120 HPC TM reescribe las directrices que definen una suspensión completa con la combinación de una horquilla con un mayor recorrido —130 mm con la versión de ruedas de 29 pulgadas y 140 mm con la de 27,5 pulgadas— con las ventajas probadas de comodidad y tracción de nuestra aclamada plataforma Stereo 120. ¿Para qué? Para que confíes en tu bicicleta y puedas ir algo más rápido, algo más lejos y algo más al límite... pero todo de forma cómoda y con un control total. La horquilla Fox 34 Float y la amortiguación Float DPS EVOL trabajan juntas para absorber los tramos más duros del camino y convertirlos en recorridos más manejables, con la ayuda del agarre y la amortiguación de los neumáticos Hans Dampf de 2,6 pulgadas de Schwalbe. Cuenta con una tija telescópica para acompañar las ganas de caminos escarpados de la horquilla más larga y hemos equipado los frenos de disco hidráulicos Shimano XT con una pinza de 4 pistones y un rotor de 203 mm en la parte delantera, para frenar con seguridad. La soberbia transmisión XT de Shimano de 11 velocidades funciona en completa armonía con el motor Bosch CX, potente y tranquilo, para ofrecer un amplio rango de marchas capaz de superar cualquier montaña, mientras que el conjunto de accesorios de Newmen te ofrece un espacio cómodo para estacionarte. Sin duda, diseñar una bicicleta eléctrica de carbono con doble suspensión y totalmente preparada para el terreno es todo un reto, pero eso es precisamente la clase de cosas que motiva a nuestros ingenieros a levantarse cada mañana. Su punto de partida fue el elegante tubo diagonal que protege por completo la batería y, gracias a una carcasa, también resguarda el motor. Protegida del polvo, el agua y las piedras, esta configuración no solo luce un aspecto atractivo, sino que además reduce el centro de gravedad de la bici, lo que añade confort y permite una conducción más dinámica en cualquier tipo de ruta. Y, ya que lo mencionamos, el pedalier está colocado en una posición superior para aumentar la holgura respecto al suelo en rutas exigentes, mientras que al alargar el tubo de dirección la posición del ciclista es más cómoda, para disfrutar de largos días sobre el sillín. El cableado interno mantiene el funcionamiento de los cambios en perfecto estado durante más tiempo sin apenas mantenimiento y el eje Boost de la parte trasera contribuye a mejorar la precisión de la dirección y la transferencia de la potencia. Para no defraudarte, nuestra geometría Agile Ride otorga a la Stereo Hybrid HPC TM la capacidad de maniobra que promete su aspecto, brindando la mezcla exacta de agilidad, estabilidad y comodidad necesarias para que siempre quieras repetir.

        This steerer tube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube. On all of our CUBE carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved and the energy transfer is very direct.

        We optimized our new dropout design based on the Syntace X12 through-axle system, enlarging the area of the frame where the hanger is mounted. We can now fit the longer Direct Mount hangers. Shifting precision and stiffness is therefore improved. With the new design it's also possible to swap the whole contact area of the axle with the hanger should the system be worn out.

        Boost 148mm technology provides precise handling, on every trail, in every situation. The hub flange moves 3mm towards the outside on both sides. It increases the stiffness of a 27.5? wheel by 14% and, for a 29er wheel, by 21%. The reason is the spoke’s wider support in comparison to the 142mm hubs used previously.

        The Agile Trail Geometry carries over the Agile Ride Geometry’s benefits but with more focus on aggressive trail use.         Our Efficient Trail Control series works so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. With 27.5 and 29er wheel options our frames cover the widest range of riding on every terrain you can imagine. The low leverage ratio and linear rate curve makes the bike very sensitive, avoids bobbing and offers full usable travel all the time. Steep seat tube angles and slack head tube angles make these dream machines ready for action on the descent where you can use the full amount of travel to be on the safe side.

        The key requirement is for continuously active and fully usable travel, with the rear triangle unaffected by pedalling or especially braking forces. There are a number of ways of achieving this – CUBE favours a four bar design with a chainstay pivot. Here, one of the pivots is located between the dropout and the chainstay, ensuring that braking does not have a negative effect on the movement of the rear wheel. By carefully positioning the remaining pivots, we obtain the finest riding qualities for our full suspension bikes both uphill and downhill. This fact is proven by many top test results in leading magazines over the last few years.

        The post mount rear brake system is found on all carbon fiber frames and top aluminum full suspension models. Two bolts and the IS adpater aren’t needed anymore, and fewer parts means less weight. In this case we save 30 grams. This may not sound a lot. But there's potential to save weight in every detail.

        The “engine” is the critical part of an Ebike because of its weight and its junction to the regular drivetrain. These factors present a real challenge for the frame design. This is why CUBE developed an innovative new frame construction for the new Ebike generation: simultaneously being the cradle for the electric motor, the pivot for the rear link and the seat of the shock eyelet, the very complex area of the bottom bracket is made of two forged halves. The groove in the front section together with the specially formed down tube is home for the power pack which in this way has a very low position in the frame triangle. The positive outcome is an extremely low center of gravity supporting an agile riding characteristic while achieving a super rigid bottom bracket area.

        This technique uses a complete core to provide the perfect frame form during the lay-up process. As with the Twin Mold technology, precise inserts are used to ensure extra strength at high-stress frame points. This combination offers maximum control over fibre orientations during the lay-up and production process. The Advanced Twin Mold high-tech carbon manufacturing process translates to outstanding product safety and quality together with optimum weight and stiffness characteristics.

        Dropper seat posts are getting more and more widespread, but to integrate them optimally in the frame, they have to be factory fitted. With the Stealth Ready frames, it is possible to build in a dropper seat post with internally routed cables, which besides the clean look, helps prevent any cables getting jammed. The exit of the cable on the frame – if not required – will be sealed with a cover for protection.
