Frame

Is there a faster time trial chassis? We don't think so. The light and stiff Advanced Twin Mould carbon frame with rear-facing horizontal dropouts is designed to be as aerodynamic as possible, while also deploying geometry aimed at making the best use of the rider's power output. Wind tunnel testing enabled us to fine tune the design, while our exclusive C:68 carbon layup maximises strength and stiffness while minimising weight. In order to minimise air resistance even further our engineers even cleaned up the bike's looks by routing cables internally. It's the kind of attention to detail that you'd expect from CUBE.

Components

Anyone who's experienced the shift performance of Shimano's electronic Ultegra Di2 groupset will know why we've chosen it for the Aerium C:68 SL. To make the best possible use of this superior transmission we've paired it with a supremely stiff Rotor Flow chainset. Our own Aerium C:62 aero carbon fork with integrated front brake is an aerodynamic masterpiece; it's also pefectly complemented by the Profile Svet Zero carbon handlebar setup. Thanks to the adjustable carbon stem and the option of using a seat post with or without offset, this TT racer can easily be set up for any event from the shortest time trial to Ultra Ironman. A Fi`zi:k Tritone saddle and fast-rolling Fulcrum Racing Racing 44 aero wheelset complete this high performance package.

Battery and cable are hiding elegantly in the framework and also the brakes fit perfectly together with the Aerium Super HPC carbon fork.

        To protect our high-end aluminium frames from damage, they are built with the CUBE Frame Save System replaceable derailleur hanger. The mounting thread is in the hanger and not in the frame as usual. In case of a crash, this hanger can be easily and quickly replaced by a new one.

        Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

        With Press Fit bearings, the bottom bracket bearings are pressed directly into the frame and not screwed in as usual. This gives a wider bottom bracket shell and allows us to build a wider down tube and more broadly-spaced chainstays. Every millimetre of additional width gives a significant improvement in lateral stiffness.

        On polished, brushed aluminium and all HPC frames, the logos and graphics are applied in multi-layer wet paint. We use this surface treatment technology mainly to save weight.

        Trough the full Di2 Integration the Dura Ace Di2 battery is completely fitted within the frame. The Shimano junction box is placed aerodynamically in the stem which makes charging and servicing a lot easier as it can be done via the junction in the stem. Another distinct feature is that it can be easily dismounted and mounted for transporting the bike.
