THE CUBE FACTORY RACING TEAM DELIVERS AGAIN IN LAKE PLACID
Another race, new challenges and once again strong results for the CUBE Factory Racing Team. At the World Cup stop in Lake Placid, New York, the squad proved in both disciplines that they’re in top form as the season draws to a close.
Cross Country – Finn unstoppable
Finn Treudler continued his incredible streak, taking victories in both the U23 Short Track and XCO races. With his sixth consecutive XCC win and another dominant XCO performance, he capped off an unforgettable season and secured the overall titles in both U23 categories.
Teammate Nikolaj Hougs bounced back impressively from a DNF in Short Track to claim 8th place in XCO, while Ella Maclean-Howell delivered solid results with P10 in XCC and P33 in XCO. In the Elite category, Ondrej Cink finished 32nd in XCC and 48th in XCO. Unfortunately, Kira Böhm had to miss both races due to illness but is aiming to be back on the start line for the final round in Canada.
Downhill – Team delivers convincing performances
At Whiteface Mountain, riders faced a completely new downhill course.
Rosa Zierl once again impressed with a strong 5th place among the Junior Women, maintaining her overall lead. Kasper Hickman showed great consistency with P3 in qualifying and P6 in the final. In the Elite ranks, Max Hartenstern was on pace for a solid result before a crash in his race run dropped him to 28th. Jess Blewitt showed true grit, putting down fast runs in both qualifying rounds – P23 and P12 – despite still recovering from a hand injury.
Now, the CUBE Factory Racing Team turns its focus to Canada – determined to crown an outstanding season with a strong finish in Mont-Sainte-Anne.
